tip to verify if your card wddm

Tip: How to verify if your card is WDDM

To verify if you card is AERO Glass supported, click Start > right click Computer > click Properties > click Advance System Settings > Hardware > Device Manager > expand Display adapters, if WDDM, is not beside your card name, then AERO Glass is not working. -- -- Andre Windows Connected | http://www.windowsconnected.com Extended64 | http://www.extended64.com Blog | http://www.extended64.com/blogs/andre http://spaces.msn.com/members/adacosta

And if you have an ATI video board, Radeon 9600 anyway, and installed the Vista drivers from ATI site you will not have AeroGlass. I had to roll back my displays drivers to get the "WDDM" statement as you described. Drivers are yet a problem for Vista.

Hi Andre - I am using the NVidia 88.61 drivers and am getting Glass (as far as I can tell) but there is no WDDM listed next to the name of the display adapter.

I have an ATI Radeon 9600 series card, with the ATI Radeon Vista drivers from ATI and I have Aero glass. And in device manager they do not say WDDM next to them even though they are definitely WDDM.

from what I have digested there is a difference between aero, and aero glass is there not? I have nice effects but radeon 9600xt(with vista b2 drivers) not showing as wddm, and I can't get the window flipping thing to enable. should I install latest 6.5 cat drivers and then mabe I will have full blown aero glass?

I rolled back my driver to the one that vista installed for me and I now have the wddm but still no glass. I have no idea why. I had a beta 1 version a while back and glass worked on that version there is no reason why it shouldn't work on here.

I have the latest driver from NVIDIA and there is no WDDM beside my card, but I still have all the features of vista (i.e.: 3d flip and aero). I have tested both drivers, the one that was supplied with vista and directly from NVIDIA, and the drivers from NVIDIA are much smoother in there operation. I would defiantly go with the beta one from NVIDIA. Mike...
